i ■ STUDENTS' STRENGTHENED SIDE. SPECTACULAR GAME ANTICIPATED. Always one of the most popular features of the Auckland Rugby Union's season, the final of the club championship will be played at Eden Park tomorrow when Ponsontiy will do battle with University. University won the honours last season, but the blue and blacks are likely to be the favourites tomorrow. In the final of the Pollard Cup last Saturday the royal blues were soundly beaten by Technical OhJ, Boys, but the team which will take the field t'o-morrow will be a very much stronger combination, as Bush, Minns, Anderson and Jenkin, all of whom were absent last week, will again be playing. If the teams play to form and the weather holds fine a sparkling exhibition of the game should be witnessed. The curtainraiser will be provided by Grafton and Marathon, the latter club being the win, ners of the senior B division. A win to Marathon will earn them the right to play in the A division next year. Teams have been selected as follows:— GRAFTON. The junior match between Grafton nnd Ponsonby, set down for the Outer Domain at 1.45 p.m. to-morrow, Ims been postponed as the teams have to piny off for the final of the A section, prior to meeting the winners of the B section.
