WELCOME TO PASTOR.

A social gathering was held last evening at Mount Roskill Congregational Church for the purpose of welcoming Pastor R. E. Dowell. The chair was occupied by the Rev. K. C. Roberts, M.A., 8.D., of Mount Eden Congregational Church. Elocutionary items were given by Mrs. Lewis and Mr. W. Downey, a piano solo was played by Mrs. Blott, and vocal items were contributed by Mesdames Heriekson, Henderson and Crothall. Mr. and Mrs. Henderson gave a duet, and Mrs. Crothall an item on the mandolin. An exhibition of Highland , sword dancing was given by Miss Daniells. The ladies' committee provided supper.
