NEW CRUISER.

Tlie new cruiser Shropshire, which has taken two and a-half years to construct and which cost £2,000,000, arrived at Chatham, where she is being commissioned, to join the first cruiser .squadron on the Mediterranean station, consisting of her sister ships London, Sussex and Devonshire. •, , v ■
