PUKEKOHE CLUB. The report of the Pukekohc Tennis Club, presented at the annual meeting on Monday, mentioned Unit the scheme to provide the flul) with six new chip courts had been duly completed, nad the courts had been the subject of pleased comment From a playing point of view the season had been it successful one, and, with the new courts, prospects for the coming season were bright. Morrin, Porter and R>ha <| October fi was. tentatively fixed as the opening day. A set of buttons for challenge play on the club ladder was presented bv'Mr Klssling. TE POI CLUB. MATAMATA, Tuesday. The annua! meeting of the Te Poi Termis Club was held on Monday. The balance sheet showed a small credit on the year's working, after non-recurring expenditure in improvements, and the purchase of a new roller had been paid. The officers elected were: President, Mr. H. Oliver; captain. Mr. A. Lansdowne; vice-captain, Mr. A. Wright: honorary secretary, Mr. A. Dawson: committee, Misses Priestly and Garland and Messrs, A. Dawson, F."Lansdowne and E. Settle. Owing to the fact that it was considered competition play interfered with the pleasure of. members, it was decided not to enter a team for the Waikato East Association's championship.
