GOOD GALLOP BY CHIDE. COMIQTJE AND DESERT SONG GO WELL. SEA RAID RUNS SIX IX 1.16 3-5. (By Telegraph.—Special t. "Star. ) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. The weather was fine for training operations at Ricearton this morning. Summer hours were in operation, having started the previous day, and a number of the trainers put in an appearance early, though a good deal of the work was reserved until after breakfast. The Xo. 6 grass track provided good galloping ground. Chide was sent along over nine furlongs. He ran over three alone, and then was picked up l>y Xetley, who joined in slowly. Chide ran the full journey in 1.56 1-5, a useful gallop, though he appeared to have very little in reserve at the finish. Semper Paratus and Straightcoftrse were associated over six furlongs in 1.17 1-5. The former was slightly in front at the finish, and he is coming on gradually. Quarterdeck and Swoopalong were given a working gallop over six furlongs. Prickles, with Royal Flower as a mate for the last half, covered a mile in 1.48, running home the second half in 535. Twang and Pixie Gold shaped well while sprinting half a mile in 51 2-ss. Disorder occupied (.20 2-5 for six furlongs, but she was not unduly hurried. Amourette and Don Jose ran seven furlongs in 1.32 2-5. Amourette is training on nicely for spring engagements. The two-year-olds Spoon and The Geishla rattled home from the three furlongs post in 37 2-ss. Dutch money was not doing her best at the end of five furlongs, run in 1.5 3-5, while Honeycomb sprinted half a mile in 51 l-ss.
Meprisant beat Starshooter over six furlongs in LIS 1-5. The latter' will not be raced as Asliburton.
Tnne covered six furlongs comfortably in 1.20.
Louise occupied 1.7 1-5 for five furlongs, while her stable mate Kate Kelly ran six furlongs in LIS 2-ss.
Comique and Desert Song got to the end of six furlongs in 1.17. They were together all the way, and it was a useful gallop.
Goblin Market sprinted half a mile in 525. Tariff running over the same ground in 51 3-ss.
Sapient occupied 1.20 3-5 for six fuvlongs.
Silver Coot rattled home smartly from the three furlongs peg.
.Count Cavour had Solgele as a mate for six furlongs, the former bavins a neck advantase at the end, after doing the journey in I.IS. The veteran looks bright and well.
Rapier had Wrigley as a mate for seven furlongs, the Cun candidate accomplishing his task comfortably in 1.32 3-5.
Briartborn and Rapina covered six furlongs in 1.10, finishing together.
Hoylake ran about seven furlongs, doing the last six in 1.22. but he was not out to make time.
Monev Order reeled off five furlongs in 1.4 3-5 without any trouble.
Pride was given a working'gallop over seven furlongs. She looks in nice order.
Huntley and the Clarenceaux—Swert Smile three-year-old went well while sprinting half a mile in 50 4-ss.
The two-year-olds Countermarch and Ball Dress sprinted three furlongs up the. back in 37 2-as.
Caterpillar was going easily alongside Malmspv at the end of six furlongs in LIS 2-ss.
Gala Day strode out freely in a work in? gallon of a mile.
Pangolin ran six furlongs bv himself in 1.20.
Aladdin was not fully oxtonded in a run over six furlongs, but he finished up at n sound pace.
Pahautanui ran five furlongs attrac tivelv in 1.5.
Sea Raid beat Sweet Refrain over six fnrlonjrs in . 1.1(3 3-5, a smart performance.
Flair covered a mile in 1.40 "-5 and did it without undue effort.
Randawhio not to the end of a mile in 1.40 2-5. while Heisler was given a workinsr gallop over seven furlongs.
Bulolo gave Te Awhina a start and beat her over five furlonprs in 1.4 4-5.
