CASE OF MYRA WEBSTER.
The case of Myra Webster (30), who "is said to be a drug addict, was before the Police ' t again to-day. She was charged wi. ; failing to comply with the terms and conditions of her release on probation. Webster, for whom Mr. J. J. Sullivan appeared, pleaded not guilty. The magistrate, Mr. P. K. Hunt, S.M., said that according to Christcliurch papeis Webster had pleaded guilty to the charge when she appeared at the Police Court in that city before beiii" remanded to Auckland. ° Mr. Sullivan: My client says that is iiot so. In any case, she has not committed a breach of probation. She has made restitution, and has always reported herself. Mr. Hunt: She can be charged with the original charge. Counsel: No, sir, not unless she has ?been convicted for breach of probation. The magistrate remanded accused until next Monday in order that further inquiries may be made in Christcliurch,
