BOWLING CLUB'S DECISION,

MEMBERSHIP QUESTIOX,

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The Xew Brighton Bowling Club, at a special meeting, settled the question whether women should be admitted as members of the club.

Returns of a ballot taken among members of the club were disclosed, showing a majority against the proposal. Fortythree ballot papers were issued, and .'54 were returned. Of these 20 voted against the proposal and 14 for it.
