THE PRIME MINISTER,

WORKING PRIVATELY TO-DAY,

WELLINGTON, this day

Although he did not take his place in the House of Representatives this afternoon, the Prime Minister is much recovered. This morning he left his bed and was able to work 011 important Departmental papers at his desk in his private apartments. To-morrow, if his doctor permits, Sir Joseph may resume his duties as Leader of the House.
