! TRACKS IN BETTER ORDER. GOLD MONEY SPEINTS FAST. LADY'S BOY ON THE IMPROVE.

The weather was all that could be desired during training operations at Ellerslie this morning, and the going was better than for some time past. Most of the fast work was executed on No. 1 grass, while the two-year-olds had the use of the course proper from the mile to the four-furlong peg. The hurdle track was also available. Course Proper. Grand Spirit and Hampton Park were the only ones to gallop on this track, being allotted a four-furlong task. Grand Spirit got just a shade the best of the start and was about half a length ahead over the first two furlongs, which they covered in 24 1-os. The threefurlong post was reached in 37 l-ss, and the half-mile was completed in 51 3-ss. Grand Spirit was about one length ; and a-half in front of Hampton Park at the finish. It was a good effort. No. 1 Grass. Gold Money jumped away at the fivefurlong post'and ran home in 1.4 1-5. She covered the last half mile in 40 3-os. Gemlight and Alloy covered four furlongs in 52 l-ss. Sleepy Sol was allotted a round, running the distance in 1.59 3-5, the last taking 1.22 2-5. King Emerald had Taneriri as a companion over a round, which took 1.56 l-o, the last seven furlongs taking 1.35-3-y. Both horses did their work nicely. Welkne was timed to run seven furlongs in 1.35 4-5, moving very freely throughout the journey. Cnrrajong beat Salamander over a half-mile sprint in 53 2-s*. For a similar task Bombardcr was timed to run 51 2-sg. Hyde Park showed to more advantage than Zircon at the end of a round in 1.57 3-5. The hist six furlongs occupied 1.215 i-r>. "War OfTii-pr, Kawajnga and flood fden ran four furlongs in 52 2-ss. Myola mid Golden Wedding were about on terms while miming half si mile in r>o 4-5». Corinax. who went away slowly from the half-mile peg, run his last llireo furlongs in 41s. After Breakfast. Gay Cockade had a shade the best ot Spring Abbey over five furlongs, run in 1.0 l-o. Eager Rose and Theodolite covered the samo ground in 1.7, the last four furlongs takiflg 2-os.

Tctrachate strode over six furlongs, but was not after time. Diamond Queen and Bizarro wore oil terms at the end of six furlongs, run in 1.20 3-f>. Roman Pearl traversed four furlongs in o2 2-ss. Catoma, Wild Country aiid Mon Star were bunched at the end of six furlongs, run in 1.21. Otranto ran home from the sevenfurlong peg in 1.34 4-">. Lady's Boy and Bonnie, ridden out, covered seven furlongs in 1.33. The final six furlongs took 1.19 4-.">. Some Ladv strode over five furlongs in 1.9 2-1. Good Boy took 51 2-os to complete a half-mile task. Two-Year-Old Track. C'hansonette sprinted four furlongs in 54s after covering the first three in 395. Jumpers. C'hesterman (K. Garrett) gave a promising display over a couple of schooling hurdles. Bizarro (R. Olive) cleared two pony hurdles safely. He jumped carefully. Muster Clements (A. McGregor) and Adjuster (Nightingale) gave a fairly good showing over four hurdles. Master Doon (McNeil) and Harbour View (E. Garrett) were allotted a similar task, which they accomplished in good style. Autumn (T. Chaplin) jumped four schooling hurdles and gave a first-rate display.
