AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION.
COACHING AT SECONDARY SCHOOLS. At a meeting- of the Auckland Cricket Association's management committee last evenling the headmaster of the Auckland Grammar School advised that it had been deemed to carry on coachiig at the school without the assistance of the association's professiona. coach, and that no contribution could w rr.Kae to the couch fund. The headmaster of King's College expressed the hope that the same coaching arrangements could be made as in past, seasons. Regret was expressed at the Grammar School's decinou, as the school had turned out a number of fine players. The committee decided to write to the Eden Park board of control requesting it to have specifications drawn up and tenders called for the suggested alterations to the ground door of the members' stand. A.request for the lfian of the. association's coach for three or four weeks was received from the Hawte's Bay Assoc'aiiou. It was resolved to reply that the coach would be fully occupied iu Auckland. Mr. E. E. iValder,' the chairman, was appointed Auckland's delegate to the New Zealand Council's biennial conference of special delegates at the annual meeting of the council at'Christchurch on November 12 and 13 respectively. The committee decided to send a telegram to the New Zealand Council"supporting the proposal to send a New Zeaiand team to England in 1031, provided financial arrangements are satisfactory.
