THAMES VALLEY POWER BOARD.

TE AROHA, Tuesday. Mr. F. M. Strange presided over a full attendance of members at the monthly meeting of the Thames Valley Power Board.
The Electric Power Board Association notified that the report of the conference in regard to advertising had been considered by the committee and,the following resolution passed: "That the committee as of the opinion that the time is now opportune for launching the joint advertising scheme by the Public Works Department, the supply authorities and the trade, as previously recommended.'' A further note stated the scheme involves an expenditure of £20,000 over a three years' period. Keferred to the finance committee. The Putaruru Town Board suggested a conference in regard to representation. A •further letter, written after the conference, had been held, stated that the Town Board was prepared to let the matter of representation remain in status quo for the present, with the town district nnder Matamata county representation. The chairman thought that the matter of a member for Putaruru could be furthered at the next election, in the meantime particulars as to population and valuation could be obtained. It was decided to refer the subject to the finance committee. The manager's report stated that the first shipment of 1200 meters had arrived, and the installing of these had been commenced on the Pateteonga section.
