Illustrations of Originality and Charm
There is not one dull page in the current week's issue of the "New Zealand Sporting and Dramatic Review," the interest being held right throughout from cover to cover. The centre pages will make an instant appeal, so varied and charming are the pictures therein. Sunny beach scenes from abroad, views in Holland and Cuba, laying foundation stone of new Shakespeare Theatre. Of interest to followers of the Turf will be the excellent pages of photographs of the Dannevirke Racing and Hunt Club's meeting. The Auckland Trotting Club's earthquake relief meeting forms two pages of interesting snapshots. Cricketers are catered for in a well displayed page of views of the England v. South Africa match, and another graphic series has for a subject the Auckland v. Canterbury interprovincial Rugby football match. The colour section has a frontispiece of a beautiful screen star a page of alluring fashions, group 'of Auckland Tramway Soccer team winners of the Chatham Cup, and other ex elusive studies. The stage and screen sections have a liberal supply of photographs of theatrical favourites. Special mention must be made of a set of photographs of dainty spring brides forming a very artistic page. Glancin-r through the miscellaneous division, one notices Wairarapa v.
