DOMINION CONFERENCE OPENED.

CI-IRISTCHURCH, this day,

Seventy delegates from all parts of New Zealand assembled in • Christehurch to-day to discuss religious education. All the principal Protestant religious bodies were represented. The delegates were welcomed to the city by the Mayor, the Rev. J. K. Archer.

Bishop West-Watson presided, and addresses were given by various Sunday school leaders.
