FELL FROM TREE
ACCIDENT AT WAITAKERE. FARMER DIES Etf HOSPITAL. From tlic effects of an accident which happened at Waitakere four weeks ago, Mr. Thomas Jordan, aged 53, died in the Auckland Hospital yesterday from hemorrhage and shock. He was a highly respected resident of the district and a member of the Orange Lodge. While going through the bush at his farm on the slopes of the Waitakere Ranges Mr. Jordan climbed on to a high tree root in the course of a search after his cattle. He fell and injured his stomach. Suffering great pain he managed to reach his home half a-mile away, and as soon as possible Dr. Harris, of Kumeu, was called to attend him. After a fortnight of treatment" at home complications set in and two weeks ago the patient was removed to hospital. The funeral will take place to-morrow forenoon at Waikuruete.
