TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE.
SATURDAY MORNING QUIET.
SALES AT CURRENT RATES.
A fair amount of business was transacted on the local Exchange yesterday after the "Star" went to press, most of the sales being on the basis of late quotations.
Bank of New Zealand maintained its advance to £3 3/6, but ]Sew Zealand Breweries debentures slipped back to sell at £1 8/.
At this morning's meeting there was the usual Saturday quietness, and only two fresh sales were recorded at the call.
Commercial Bank of Australia pr,ef. shares moved up with buyers at £7 6/6, and no sellers.
Farmers' Auctioneering also showed continued strength, buyers advancing their limits to £3 17/6.
Mount Lyells eased a shade with sellers at £2 4/6.
Gas shares have again firmed up with buyers at £1 4/3.
A seller of Bank of Australasia reduced his reserve to £14 9/6.
