Emmie Davison, 7, Dean Street, Arch Hill, age 13, arid Donald Adams', 25, Dedwood Terrace, Ponsonby, age 10, with 123 and 122 words respectively, were awarded fourth and fifth prizes: Certificates as followsßLUE: Joan Beaumont, Hilda Johnson, David Hewitt, Gwenyth Bagnall. PINK; Joyce Maseman, Rose Carroll, Grace Jolly, Clifford Paris, Enid' Paris, Esme Foley. GREEN: Betty Atkinson," Rita Nesbitt, Marion Waters, Lottie Bates, Helen Bobbins, Desmond Neithe.' YELLOW: Ronald Whittleston, Betty Bates, Edna Ward, Margery Nicol, Oswald Houison, Noeline Atkinson, Frances Baxter, Rona Paul, Alan Wylie.
