UNVEILING CEREMONY.

Despite the clouds that threatened rain, there was a good attendance of members of the Auckland Racing Club at the Ellerslie racecourse oil Saturday afternoon to witness the unveiling of a bronze bust of Sir Edwin Slitchelson, president of the club. After the ceremony the guests wandered about the beautiful grounds, which looked fresh and green in their spring habit, and many found much to interest them in the glass houses which were thrown open for the occasion. Later, tea was served in the large luncheon room under the main stand and here, hanging baskets of fern, tall green palms and bowls of brightly-coloured flowers formed delightful decoration.
