Page, S.M., is askpd to decide-whether Dr. Marie Stopes' book "Enduring Passion." is or is not an indecent publication,, was con- | tinuedinthft .Magistrate's Couffc toeday, when Xorroan Brown, a. member of the 'fina of Richard Brown and Son,, Ltd., was charged with selling the .book, it being an indecent work. l" Chief Detective Lopdell conducted the prosecution. Mr.. W. B. Brown appeared for the defendant, and Mr. E. P. Hay, 'for the publishers, C. P. Putnani and Son, of LondonEvidence against the hook was' given by Dr.. Valitttine, jDir-Sctor-General of Health, Dr.. M. H. Watt, Assistant Director-General of Health, and Detective Baylis; who. had bought the bookunder, ; instructions'. Evidence was also given by the defendant, Mr; N. Brown,, and after counsel had addressed the Court the magistrate reserved his decision.
