GRANTS BY GOVERNMENT. SEWERAGE SYSTEM FOE BELMONT. The Auckland Education Board has received advice that the Minister of Education has authorised grants for new school buildings at Ahuroa, Batley, utewa (Otorohanga), Pokopu (Bay of Islands), and Whangamata (Coromandel), and for extensions of school buildings at Morrinsville, Orini (Taupiri). Taheke (Hokianga). Te Kuiti, and Woodlands (Opotiki). Further grants 'have been made for a manual training school at Whakatane, and a teacher's residence at Edgecumbe (Bay of Plenty). The connection of the Belmont School with the borough sewage system has also been authorised.
