MANGAWARA RIVER BOARD.
NO CHANGE IN RATING. j (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Thursday. The Mangawara Itiver Board struck rates for the current year the same as last year, viz.: General rate of 3d for A class land, lid for P> class, and 3d for C class. Special rates, .'!d for A, 2 l-7d for B, 1 '2-7 d for C. Regarding further proposed works on Hie Manga warn River, estimated to cost £5000, on which it is expected to receive a Government grant, a committee was appointed to arrange for tlie preparation at plans and specifications for submission to the Public Works Department. The work will consist of cxcavation and provision or stopbanks.
