REMUERA TENNIS CLUB.
Dixieland was gay with light and movement last evening when the members of the Remuera Tennis Club held their annual ball. There were a large number present who thoroughly enjoyed the fine floor and the music supplied by Mr. Harry Neilson and his orchestra. Amongst the guests was a party of French officers from the visiting cruiser Tourville, now in port. The committee responsible for the organisation of the entertainment consisted of Mrs. 11. L. Robson, Misses Leslie Roberton and Dene Plummer, Messrs. G. L. O'Halloran, K. Rowlings, E. Ohlson and Xeil Mains. Among the dancers were: Mrs. H. L. Robson, who wore a frock of periwinkle blue georgette with sequins in the same shade; Miss Leslie Roberton, shell pink chiffon taffeta; Miss Dene Plummer, silver sequinned georgette; Mrs. E. W. Griffiths, black georgette over pink; Mrs. A. W. Christmas, floral taffeta; Mrs. L. W. Swan, eau de nil georgette; Mrs. Eric Tonks, salmon pink ring velvet; Mrs. F. W. Lucas, blue crepe de chine; Mrs. H. McCoy, cream circe lace over powder blue crepe de chine; Mrs. Tom Jones, sea green georgette; Mrs. C'. C. Ewen, white lace and satin; Mrs. Fred Lintot, opalescent georgette; Miss Joan Hudson, rose pink georgette and chiffon velvet; Miss Ann Gordon, burnished gold lace with spray of pink roses: Miss .Rowley, ashes of roses georgette and lace, with diamante girdle; Jiiss Audrey Walton, apple green taffeta ankle length frock; Miss Kirker, scarlet georgette; Miss Joan CarrickRobertson, sunset and gold corded taffeta with uneven hemline; Miss Molly Mitchelson, midnight - blue taffeta and bla-ck mandarin coat; Miss' W. Airey, bois de rose pleated georgette; Miss Rhoda, Robertson wore pale pink- georgette; Miss Biddy Philcox, gold lame and lace; Miss Leatherbarrow, night blue sequinned frock; Miss F. Kenny, cameo pink beaded georgette; Miss Garrett, ecru lace over satin; Miss Rona Suisted, white crepe satin; Miss Janet Wallace, white frilled georgette; Miss Betty Buddie, gold and white beaded georgette; Miss Pat Brett, mist blue frilled taffeta; Miss Janet Roberton, gold lace over satin in a deep shade of orange; Miss Peggy Forde, French beaded georgette; Miss Nell Batey, Indian red georgette; Miss P.
