A BIRTHDAY LETTER
Devonport, July, 1929. Dear Peter Pan, — Last week we celebrated our third birthday, and I should like to take this opportunity of sending you birthday greetings and best of wishes to all our 0.5.8.'s —to all our.„other loyal members. Just three years our little candles of love and friendship have been shining, yet their light has gleamed on ever so many people, and made a little spot' of brightness for them too. Then there is all the joy we have gained from the competitions, the Budget itself, the weekly letters, and the wise, cheery mottos. Let us hope that each year we shall be able to make our circle spread wider and lengthen the beam of our candles of love. At the next birthday it will be with regret and happy memories that I shall say good-bye to the club, and I hope that in my last active year I shall be able to do my share in the great work of our club. With birthday wishes from Dorothy Brooke, 0.5.8.
