FLIES IN THE WEB.
For this a large web is marked out in the playground with a piece of chalk, and in the centre ie the spider'e den. All the other players are flies, and they behave ae such, coming very close to the web. and sometimes entering it —but always being very careful to step between the chalked ropes of the web. If once a fly's foot accidentally falls upon a chalk-line the watching spider commands him to remain where he is.
She is at liberty to chase any of the flies who enter her web; and, of course, when they are running from her they cannot bb so careful where they place their feet. Before long there are. lots and lots.of flies caught in her web; but she cannot touch those who "flit" around outside. The game continues until all have "walked into her parlour." You will find this game quite exciting.
