FIRE AT ONEHUNGA.
NOTHING SAVED. Tlio Onehunga Fire Brigade was called to suppress a firo in Cameron Street shortly after ten o'clock last evening. When they arrived they found there was littlo more than a shell of a five-roomed house left, and this was blazing fiercely. A strong wind was blowing the flames toward ii large wooden stable at the rear of tlio property, and the brigade succeeded in saving it. The house was occupied by Mr. F. ,T. Martin, carrier, who left for Auckland at five o'clock. The house was not occupied after that hour, Mrs. Martin having left several hours earlier. Nothing was saved from the building. The furniture was insured for £200. The owner of the building resides in Auckland. The City Firo Brigade received a call last evening at 8.45 to premises at 41, ■Wyndham Street, owned, by Mr. L. Hook and occupied by Mr. A. Campi. Slight damage was done to one room and a starway, and some chairs were destroyed. Slight damage to the kitchen of a house at 21, Higlnvic Avenue, One Tree Hill, was caused by fire at 10 o'clock last evening. The dwelling was owned by Rev. Campbell and occupied by Mr. A. Shilton. The cause was thought.to be a spark from the kitchen stove. The building was insured for £800 and the contents for £75 in the Atlas Office.
