KNOWN IN N.Z. IN 25 SECONDS. WELLINGTON, this day. The result of the Derby, transmitted by the Eastern Extension Cable Company, readied Ejrypt, South Africa, India and the Straits settlements in five seconds. South America in eight seconds, Australia in 20 seconds, and New Zealand in 25 seconds. This is a slight improvement on the previous best performance in fast transmission.
