N.Z. SEA SCOUT.
Devonport Boy For World Jamboree. REPRESENTS FIJI. (Received 1 p.m.) SUVA, this day. Sea Scout Leslie Keys, born at Devonport, Auckland, has "been chosen to represent Fiji at the world jamboree in England. He is being financed by the Government and sailed on the Moe* raki to-day to join the Australian Scouts. Patrol Leader Leslie Gordon Keys is a Sea Scout of the Ist Suva Troop, which is under the Scoutmastership of Mr. P. Reay. Keys who is 16 years of age and a firstclass scout, is the son of Mr. G. A. Keys, Supervisor of the Pacific Cable Board's Suva Station. Born in Devonport young Keys was educated at the Southwell High School, Hamilton, before he left for Fanning Island, where his parents were stationed. When Mr. Keys was transferred to Suva 2Y2 years ago, his son, who attends the Suva Grammar School, joined up with the Sea Scouts, where he made rapid advancement. Just recently he was promoted from second to patrol kader.
