WARM AND CHEERY.

Cosy Houses Built By Byrd Expedition. SUN EXPECTED SOON. (United Service.) (Received 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, May 27. [By Mr. Russell Owen. Copyrighted 192S by the " Xew York Times " Company and tlie " St. Louis Post Dispatch." All rights lor publication reserved throughout the world. Wireless to the " New Jork Times."] BAY OP WHALES, May 26. There has been a full week of dull weather and comparatively mild temperature. Indeed, last night it was five degrees above zero, which was a surprising rise as the wind was not unusually strong. No matter how moody and repellent the frozen world may be outside, however, it is warm and cheery in the houses. Tho days go very rapidly, and in less than a month the winter day will be reached and we can look ahead to the return of the sun.
