AUCKLAND POWER BOARD.
MR. HOLDSWORTH RE-ELECTED. At the adjourned annual meeting of the Auckland Electric Power Board, hold yesterday afternoon, Mr. W. J. Holds worth presiding, the annual reports, rccorcring a good year and abolishing the sixpenny standing charge on accounts, were' adopted. In moving that Mr. Holdsworth be reelected chairman for the ensuing term, Mr. S. J. Harbutt spoke highly of his grip of the board's atl'airs, his tact and his judgment. Mr. Holdsworth, thanking the members, said the finances of the board were very sound. Referring to the coining of pow.ee , from Arapuni, he said they would have to see how things went before they could make any definite pronouncement. Mr. Harbutt was re-elected deputychairman.
