GASWORKS FOUNDATIONS.
DARGAVILLE COUNCIL SATISFIED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DARGAVILLE, this day. A special meeting of the borough council was held last night to consider allegations made recently at a meeting of the council that the foundations for the new gasholder were unstable. Mr. H. W. Atkinson, of Auckland, consulting engineer for the municipal gasworks, was present. The Mayor presided. The council passed a resolution, with one dissentient, "That we have full confidence in the consulting engineer to carry out the work."
