DAIRY PRODUCE.

THE WAIKATO EXHIBITION. AHEAD OF RECENT YEARS. BUTTER AND CHEESE AWARDS. Unchallenged is the claim of the Waikato Winter Show Association to the greatest, exhibit of dairy factory produce in Australasia at its annual winter exhibitions. The entries for this year's show, which opens to-morrow, constitute a. further record, the total entries being no less than 982, an increase of 129 over those of last year. Commenting on the dairy section, Mr. E. C. Wood, representing the Dairy Division, said the Winter Show Association was to be congratulated on the very large exhibit of dairy produce, which was admirably laid out. The number of entries in both butter and cheese exceeded that of any previous year in the association's history. Uniformity of quality was particularly noticeable in both commodities in this year's competition. The quality of the. cheesc exhibits in. particular was very pleasing in this respect. The number of compratively low scoring- exhibits in both butter and cheese was negligible. The general quality was superior to that of recent years and exhibitors were to be congratulated 011 their efforts. Following are the results of the judging in the dairy section, which has occupied a large number of ollicials of the Government Dairy Division for several days:— BUTTER. CHAMPIONSHIPS AND TROPHIES.
