Whitcombe, Espinosa 80; Havers, Sarazen 81; Farrell (American champion) 82; Vardon 85. On Gullane course the leading scores were:—Jewell 72; R. Whitcombe, Cruickshauk (America) 73; Diegel 74; Aubrey Boomer, Mitchell and Hagen 75; Duncan, Jurado (Argentina) 76; J. Taylor 77; Herd, Turnsea, Melborn (America) 79; Eay 80; Braid 82.
