AGE OF MARRIAGE.
BILL TO RAISE IT TO 16. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 6. A bill to raise the legal age for marriage to 16 years for both sexes was passed through all its stages in the House of Commons on Saturday -without opposition. Only the Royal assent is now necessary to make it effective. Hitherto the legal age for marriage in England has been 12 for girls and 14 for boys.
