HIDES AND SKINS.
At to-day's sale of sheepskins and hides, eheepskins were firm at late rates, except that dried skins -were slightly lower. Hides, poor competition, prices %d to %d lower. Following are to-day'e quotatione: Sheepskins.—Dry: Pine crossbred, 12d to 13d per lb; half to three-quarter wool, 10d to ll%d; short to half wool, 9d to lid: quarter wool, 9d to lid; lambs, 9d to 12d; .pelts, 71 to lid. Salted: Beet, to 8/6 each; good. 7/6 to 7/9; medium, 6/ to 7/; poor and damaged, 1/6 to 5/. Hides.—Extra heavy ox, 9d per lb; heavy, 9d; medium, 8d; light, 7d; extra heavy coav, 7d; heavy, 6%d; best calf, 1/3; good, 1/2; inferior and damaged, lid. Tallow.—Best mixed, 31/6; medium, 28/; poor, 25/.
