MINING NEWS.
Occidental Una.—Report for period ending 27/4/29 : Sloping on the No. 2 reef northwards is still progressing favourably; the reef is averaging the same width, and is looking well with nice colours of gold and interlaced with silica and blende. All quartz is being saved for treatment. Crushing has been under way for a week, and there is about 100 tons on hand, so the battery will be crushing daily for some time to come.
