DEVONPORT LOAN POLLS.

BOTH PROPOSALS CARRIED. The Devonport ratepayers had submitted to them two loan proposals. No. 1 asked them to ratify the raising of £4300 to pay for land taken under the Public Works Act to widen Victoria Road, to straighten the frontage of Cheltenham Beach, and to purchase a section on Cheltenham used as a source of sand supply.
