EIGHT FRESH FACES. FIVE COUNCILLORS UNSEATED NEWCOMER TOPS POLL. Headed by Mr. G. W. Hutchison, who secured the largest indivdual vote of the 67 candidates, eight new members were elected to the City Council. Five of the sitting members were rejected by the electors, among them being Mr. J. A. C. Allum, chairman of the Water Committee. Mr. T. Bloodworth, runner up for the Mayoralty, was second on the list of councillors returned. The new members are: Messrs. G. W. Hutchison, F. N. Bartram, G. Grey Campbell, B. L. Bagnall, J. R. Lundon, B. M. Irvine, G. L. Brownlee and H. P. Burton. Unsuccessful former members were: Messrs. J. A, C. Allum, S. I. Crookes, 0. Mcßrine, J. W. Carr, and J. W. Kealy. It is possible that tho official? count, a laborious undertaking, will alter the position ofo ne or two candidates, the difference between defeat and victory depending upon only a few votes in casea The details of the voting (with members of the old council indicated by asterisks) are as follows:— Elected.
