In an old deed box at a Lloyds Bank branch the original charter of the Leeds,. Skyrack and Morley Savings Bank has been found. The charter reveals that the bank possesses a dormant account opened 109 years ago, Th© heirs of the depositor are unknown, and it seems likely that the account will go on accumulating the golden dust of interest through the years. Dated 1818, the charter bears the signatures of Earl Fitzwilliam, Lord Harewood, Lord Wilton, Sir John Beckett, Sir James Graham, first president of the bank, and William Williams Brown, founder of Brown's- Bank. j
