S.O.S. FROM STEAMER.

OFF CALIFORNIAN COAST. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. . The Acting-Secretary of the Post | Office has been advised by the superintendent of radio, Wellington, as follows: A message, from Apia radio at 6.56 p.m., Apia time, states: "S.s. Kadiak, call KFSC, sending S.O.S. Position 10 miles west of Point Reyes. San Francisco is dealing with the ship and understand s.s. Charlie Watson, call KDLA, two miles south of Point Reyes, going to her ■assistance. S.s. Kadiak sinking slowly; may last a few more hours." The Kadiak is a wooden steamer of 114 tons, and was bbuilt in California in 1896. She Is owned by the Alaska Packers' Association of San Francisco. Point Reyes is about 40 miles from San Francisco.
