Mr. E. Aldridge, Mayor of Devonport, h«« been appointed Government representative on tiie Auckland Harbour Board, where he will succeed the Hon. E. W. Alison.
Mr. Aldridge lia* served two term* a* a mom tar of the Devon port Borough Council. He in the present Mayor of Devonport, and ha* been returned unopprwcd for a further term. The Hon. K. W. Alison, the retiring Government representative on the Auckland Harbour Board, ha* thad a long experience of public life in Auckland. He h*a had 22 year*' service on the l*>ard. Ho was representative of jwiyer# of due* and *hlpownern from IHOI to I SOft. He left the board, bwt rejoined in 1911 for a term of two years a* representative of (Myers of dues and shipowners.
