A poll was taken to-day in the Grev Power Board district on a proposal to Hiatal a hydro-electric power system at Arnold River to generate 2000 kilowatts at a cost of £118.000, in order to replace •the present steam installation of 10C0 kilowatts at Dobson. The proposal was carried, the voting being: For 707, against :37.'5, and informal 0. The necessary three-fifths majority was obtained.
