HOSPITAL RESIGNATIONS.
HIGHEST PRAISE BESTOWED. MEMBER AND SURGEON EULOGISED. "I thank you very much Mr. Chairman, [ can't, say anything. I feel a hit full up," .->aid Air. M. J. Coyle at yesterday's meeting of the Auckland Hospital Board when reference was made by the chaii mail (Mr. W. Wallace) to the fact that Mr. Coyle was not seeking reelection.
The chairman paid a high tribute to 3Tr. ('oyle's work on the board during the '17, vears lie had been a member.
Mr. Casement Aickin, lion, .-urgeoit at the hospital, also tendered his resignation. "The board and pulilic also owe a Ireinendoiw anioiint to Air. Casement Aickin," said Air. Wallace. "His work during the last 'ZO years has been of inestimable benelit to l lie community and we are sorry to lose him. We owe a lot to such a man as well as the whole of the lion, stall'." "The hospital has lot-t the services of a surgeon who lias won a great reputation in the community," was the remark of Dr. ('. K. Maguire, medical superintendent of the hospital.
