"OUR SUPREME QUEST."

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS 1 CONFER. GATHERING IN AUCKLAND. Delegates from 450 Sunday schools, representing 40,000 boys and girls are in conference at the Unity Hall for the Easter convention, organised by the Sunday School Teachers' Union, of Auckland and Wellington. The Rev. F. A. Thompson, of Birkenhead, is the president. The convention started yesterday with a luncheon and welcome addresses by Mr. H. Dearsley and Miss Haig. The presidential address, "Our Supreme Quest," was given later in the afternoon. Last evening Miss M. Taylor gave an address on "The Teaching and training of Children," which was followed by "Reverence in the Sunday School," by Miss Winstorie. This morning, after Bible study had been conducted by the Rev. Evan R. Harries, "The Supplementary Talk with Blackboard Illustrations" was given by Mr. L. E. Falkiner. Rev. L. B. Bus-field dealt with "The Child and Religion." In the afternoon "Art in the Sunday School," by the Rev. P. A. Thompson and '"The Cradle Roll Department." by the Rev. Lionel B. Fletcher, were the main subjects. An interesting programme has been arranged for to-morrow and Monday, when the convention will conclude. As the president pointed out, the conference was to further the interests of Sunday school work.
