The Devonport Borough Council hereby gives notice in pursuance of Section 10, of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926:— In the matter of The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926 The Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, the amendments and regulations made thereunder respectfully, and Section 3S of The Local Legislation Act, 1925, the Council hereby gives notice of its intention to raise a Special Loan of £4300 (Four Thousand Three Hundred Pounds) for the purpose of:— (1) Repaying to the General Accoant moneys paid out of the said account for compensation moneys and other expenses in connection with the taking of Lands under The Public Works Act, 1908, for (a) Street Widening Purposes (Victoria Rd.), and (B) extending the recreation reserve known as Cheltenham Beach. Subject to the following conditions sanctioned by the Local Government Loans Board :— (a) The term for which the Loan Is borrowed shall be 36 J (thirty-six and a half) years. (b) The rate of interest in respect of the said Loan shall not e*ceed £5 10/ (Five Pounds Ten Shillings) per centum per annum. (c) The Council shall, before borrowing the said sum, make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund of not less than £1 (One Pound) per cent per annum calculated on the amount raised. (d) No portion of interest or sinking fund shall be paid out of loan moneys. (2) The proposed security for the repayment of the said Loan shall be a special annnal recurring rate of 5/64ths (Five Sixty-fourths) of a penny in the pound (on the basis of the unimproved value) on all ratable property in the Borough of Devonport.
