THE AUCKLAND MEETING-.

TRACK WORK AT ELLERSLIE

The course proper with the flags about 36ft out from the rails was used this morning for the final gallops. Rain fell overnight, but it was not sufficient to make any appreciable difference to the going, which was good . The Course Proper. Eager Rose and Te Money jumped off at the Fix-furlong post, and ran home in 1.20 4-5, the first three furlongs taking 40s. Gold Money was well in front of King Emerald at the finish of five furlongs, run in 1.5. Salamander took 1.14 to cover five furlongs. Bahama was better than Thursby over seven furlongs, run in 1.34 1-5. Mosaic got to the end of four furlongs in 555. Gay Ballerina, who looks in good fettle, went over four furlongs, which she accomplished in 51 2-ss. War Officer and Kawainga were about on terms at the end of seven furlongs, run in 1.32 4-5. Brampton and Respirator ran the last half-mile of their work in 545. Llanore easily beat Toxeuma over a mile, which was run in 1.44 2-5. The Lover gave Odin a start, and finished in front at the end of a round, which occupied 2.10 1-5. Bennie, Neil and Catoma ran five furlongs in 1.6 3-5. Awarere and Bright Glow hopped away at the six-furlong post. Awarere was soon in front, and stayed there to the finish. Bright Glow's rider lost an iron, otherwise she would have gone much better. The 'me was 1.18 1-5. Hyde Park and ir Archie went over a round, which they accomplished in 2.8, the former pleasing most at the finish. Mosque ran half a mile in 555. Reremoana covered six furlongs in 1.19 2-5. This horse looks well. Papatu and Len ran six furlongs in 1.19 2-5, the first three taking 40s. Papatu was in front at the finish. Aussie, alone, got to the end of five furlongs in 1.3 2-5. The first two furlongs took 24 4-ss. After Breakfast. Karamti was allotted a round, which he covered in 2.15 3-5. the last seven furlongs taking 1.40 3-5. The Brighton Hurdle candidates, Kilburn and Beau Cavalier, were companions over a round. They kept together for the first half o'f the journey, and then Kilburn, who was on the outer, went away from Beau Cavalier and beat him easily at the finish. The time was 2.12 2-5. They ran the last seven furlongs in 1.39 2-5. Kilburn went exceptionally well, and gained a lot of friends. Bizarro was a shade hi front of Diamond Queen while running six furlongs in 1.18 3-5. Welkne jumped off at the seven-fur-long peg, and after covering the first three in 40s, he ran the full distance in 1.33 1-5. Gay Cockade took 1.21 1-5 for six furlongs. White Fang and Lady Quex jumped off at the six-furlong peg and ran the first three furlongs in 395, finishing up their task in 1.17 2-5. White Fang was in front most of the way, but the Taranaki filly, on the outside, was up with him at the finish. Bonny Dav finished a six-furlong task in 1.24. Lineroo was too good for Killute while running five furlongs in 1.6 3-5. Arch Queen trotted round to the halfmile post, and ran home in 51 4-ss.' Roman Pearl got to the end of a similar sprint in 51 l-ss. Ramblin' Kid started off over a round and was going nicely until he passed the half-mile post, where he steadied down and was pulled up owing to bleeding. Prodice and Desert Glow jumped away together at the mile post, and after running the first half in 51s, they completed the journey in 1.44 3-5, the last seven furlongs taking 1.31 1-5. Prodice had the better of the gallop, and looks like being troublesome in her engagements here. e c Standfast was timed to run the last six furlongs of his work in 1.21 3-5. . Air completed a seven-furlonc journey in 1.33. c Kamehameha and Harbour View finished in front of Clockwork over seven furlongs, which took 1.35. Master Arch ran a mile in 1.55, it nicely. ~ Glenotus and Potoanui completed a seven-furlong Journey in 1.36 3-5. Both horses are in good condition. Flying Prince and Awamutu registered 1.4 3-5 for five furlongs. There was little between them at the finish. On the Sand. Lucy Rose, Glenstar and Valla i worked on the track, and all look well Flying Juliet also did useful pace work on the 2so. 2 grass, track. The Jumpers.
