ELECTION OF OFFICERS. During the final section of the New Zealand Alliance's annual meeting, Me?sr«. H. Dyson and J. Read, delegates from the Workers* Anti-Liquor League, spoke of the work accomplished by the league thus far and its prospects. It was stated that since the formation of the league in New Zealand a similar organisation had been formed with the name of the British Industrial Workers and Trade Unionists' Temperance Union. The Rev. W. J. Comrie was elected president, and warm tributes were paid in the retiring president, Mr. Charles Tndi!.
