CHAIRMAN TO RETIRE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, Wednesday. Much regret was expressed at a meeting of the Thames Harbour Board, when Mx. W. Danby, the chairman, announced that he would not seek re-election. Mr. Danby said hs had been in local politics; for twenty years, and in hi> own interests he had now to seek relict. Messrs. Loughlin and Kennedy requested Mr. Danby to reconsider this decision. Mr. Kennedy saying that Mr. Danby's retirement would be a great loss to Thames.
