QUEEN CARNIVAL.

CORONATION ADRAXGEMENTS. The queen carnival committee met last night, when much detail matter connected with the coronation caremony at Blandford Park next Tuesday evening was finalised. It was reported that the actual ceremony would be carried out in brilliant lighting effects, and that a fairy ballet arranged by Miss Daphne Knight and her pupils would add a vivid note to this item. So far two local bands had agreed to assist with the musical setting and another two bands were also expected, making a unique massed musical accompaniment. Numerous entries were being received for the footballers' race, whije the Girls' Athletic Association and the St. Stephen's Maori College boys would give gymnastic displays. A full dress rehearsal was arranged for Saturday evening.
