AT HOME.
The Mutual Club opened its rooms in Palmerston Buildings, for the first time this season yesterday afternoon, when an enjoyable "'At Home" was tendered as a farewell to Mrs. George Walker and Mrs. A. G. Warnock. who are leaving for Australia and England by the s.s. Mannganui next Friday. Beautiful asters in shades of lemon to gold and mauve filled the crystal and silver ornaments, soft mounds of ferns banking the corners of the reception room. Vocal items were rendered by Mrs. Carte Lloyd, Mrs. Harvey Reece, Mrs. Osborne Owen, and Mrs. Beaumont. In the absence of the president (Mrs. O. Brett), Mrs. Von Sturmer welcomed the guests, and wore a frock of navy blue georgette, blue Bangkok hat. Mrs. G. Walker wore an ivory crepe de chine, black silk coat, large white felt hat, trimmed with black. Mrs. A. G. Warnock was gowned in parchment crepe lace, mastic tagel bat, with velvet
flowers, pale summer fox fur; Mrs. F. Wilson, bois de rose checked silk, hat to tone; Mrs. Crump, alnjond green cloth, beige hat; Mrs. Follick, black
striped satin, hat with ospreys; Mrs. Sydney Robertson, beige satin jumper suit, navy blue Bangkok hat; Mrs. Norman Wade, mauve georgette, grey ciro bat, with cluster of flowers; Mrs. Waite, lemon pleated crepe de chine, black hat; Mrs. Allan, brown lace over mushroom georgette, black hat; Mrs. A. Coney, beige marocain hat to tone; Mrs. Hutchings, black georgette, blue velour hat; Mrs. G. Lennox, bois de rose crepe de chine, pink hat; Mrs. W. H.
