AT HOME.

The Mutual Club opened its rooms in Palmerston Buildings, for the first time this season yesterday afternoon, when an enjoyable "'At Home" was tendered as a farewell to Mrs. George Walker and Mrs. A. G. Warnock. who are leaving for Australia and England by the s.s. Mannganui next Friday. Beautiful asters in shades of lemon to gold and mauve filled the crystal and silver ornaments, soft mounds of ferns banking the corners of the reception room. Vocal items were rendered by Mrs. Carte Lloyd, Mrs. Harvey Reece, Mrs. Osborne Owen, and Mrs. Beaumont. In the absence of the president (Mrs. O. Brett), Mrs. Von Sturmer welcomed the guests, and wore a frock of navy blue georgette, blue Bangkok hat. Mrs. G.
