MASSEURS CONFER.
A DOMINION" GATHERING.
The Xew Zealand Trained Masseurs' Association held its second annual conference in Wellington at the end of last week. Dr. D. T. Wylie (surgeon, of Palmerston North) addressed the conference on the importance of team work between masseurs and medical men. Mr. R. T. McLean (vice-president of the Wellington Masseurs' Association) welcomed the delegates. He referred to the resignations of Mr. W. V. Sarelius (president of the New Zealand Association) and Mr. C. O. Jorgensen (its secretary), yjtes of thanks to whom were passed. Replying. Mr. Sarelius said that the idea of the conference was to learn from each other, to strengthen the principles of the profession, and to help to gain the confidence of the doctors and the public. Dr. Marshall Mac Donald (Dunedin) delivered an address on mental hygiene as applied to massage. On the motion of Mr. T. B. Pike, it was decided "That in the case of vacancies on the Registration Board, the NewZealand Trained Masseurs' Association be asked to nominate a person for the position."' As it was considered that some students entered the profession too young, on the motion of Miss H-are it was decided that the age of students entering the Dunedin Massage School be fixed at 1!) years. It was decided to approach the British Medical A-soeiation to have space allowed in its journal for articles concerning massage.
