OUTBREAKS OF FIRE.

FIRE IN BAKER STREET.

At 8.15 pjn. yesterday the fire brigade was called to suppress an outbreak of fire at No. 3, Baker Street, off Nelson Street. A settee had caught fire owing to a lighted match having been thrown down. The house is owned by Mr. J. Gleeson and occupied by Mrs. K Banfield. There were no insurances. Very little damage was done.

A BLAZING CABLE

The lire brigade was called to Princes Street t-his morning at a few minutes past seven o'clock to deal with a blazing electric cable not far from Shortl*Tid Street.
